The area around Lalizolle has much to offer. As we said before; the wonderful hilly, afforested terrain is ideal for families with (young) childeren, nature lovers, hikers,  bike-riders and those who love horeback riding.

  • Museum Wolframines; an exposition about our local minerals. Enlighted with a short movie.
  • Take a daytrip to one of our interesting neighbouring cities like Vichy, Montlucon, Moulins or Clermont-Ferrand. Vichy is well known for its hot springs and sureley worth your while. Montlucon feautures a fascinating old town-centre. Moulins has a nice sociable town centre with it's typical narrow streets. Clermont-Ferrand, with its beautiful gothic, dark (made out of lava rock) cathedral, is the major town in the region. Home of the Michelin company.
  • Charroux; one of the most ancient little towns of France. Very picturesque and, well known for its mustard.

  • Swimming in one of the plan d'Eau's (small natural swimming lakes)
  • MontozArbres is a Tree Top Adventure Park; overcome many obstacles, 30 ft (well-secured) up in the air, on a voyage from tree to tree. Great fun!
  • canoeing on the rivier Sioule. Hikes of about half a day, suited for beginners and the somewhat more advanced. The drop is relatively small.
  • Golf enthusiasts will want to go to Neris Les Bains and play on the marvelous links.
  • On one hour from our hotel is Puy de Sancy mountain, including Mont-Dore en Super-Besse, a wonderful winter sports spot. The total arena is 91 km (57 ml) in length, has 59 descents en 286 snow cannons. For more information please click here.
